High-Speed Data

Operators can offer service alternatives to subscribers in market bundles by introducing high-speed data to target market areas. Market bundles enable operators to meet the needs of their subscribers and reduce subscriber churn.
Basic Internet and tiered data services can be offered to residential subscribers in both Single Family Units and Multi-Tenant/Dwelling Units. When subscribers can select their own level of service, customer satisfaction is raised because the consumer has the feeling that they had a choice in the selection. In fact, high-quality, high-speed data access brings a whole new set of services for residential consumers, such as IP Streaming Video for Video on Demand (VOD) and Multicast services.

ARRIS C4® Cable Modem Termination System

The ARRIS C4 CMTS is a DOCSIS® 3.0, Euro-DOCSIS 2.0 and PacketCable™ 1.1 compliant CMTS that delivers unprecedented service availability and wire-speed performance under all operating demands. The C4 CMTS is designed for carrier-grade operations and has no single point of failure, enabling operators to increase subscriber satisfaction and retention by providing 99.999% system availability. It provides operators with an unparalleled array of Quality of Service capabilities and scaling options.

ARRIS C3™ Cable Modem Termination System

The ARRIS C3 CMTS is a flexible, powerful, and easy-to-use Cable Modem Termination System that occupies only 1 rack unit of space (1.75 in). Available in 2, 4, or 6 Upstream channel configurations, operators in any size market can deploy the C3 CMTS to provide tiered high speed data, VoIP, and business services over DOCSIS® HFC networks. Its digital RF upstream receivers provide superior performance under demanding HFC plant conditions such as low C/N and high level ingress signals. Ideally suited for a variety of service applications, operators may utilize either Layer 2 or Layer 3 forwarding, and Virtual LAN (VLAN) support for multiple ISPs and business class services

ARRIS Optimization & Troubleshooting Tools (ASA & ICO)

The ARRIS Spectrum Analyzer (ASA) diagnoses plant and cable modem issues on the fly. It can be used for either the ARRIS C3 CMTS or C4 CMTS with DOCSIS 2.0 specifications. This tool runs on a laptop or desktop computer, saving time and expense during remote diagnosis of field issues via SNMP, ultimately reducing truck rolls.

The ARRIS Intelligent Channel Optimizer (ICO) is a GUI-based tool used to maximize the throughput of RF upstream channels connected to ARRIS C4 CMTS DOCSIS 2.0 Cable Access Modules. After analyzing the noise conditions for a particular upstream channel, the ICO employs error analysis algorithms to provide guidance on optimal modulation profile and upstream channel settings. The operator may then choose to use the ICO to apply the recommended profile and channel settings to the selected upstream. The ICO runs on a laptop or PC and may be used remotely via Telnet, Secure Shell version 2 and SNMP
