AUSPICE INC. ANNOUNCES ITS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF AUSPICE TLX 3.0
The Next Generation Operations Integration and Automation Infrastructure for the Distributed Enterprise
Framingham, MA - August 1, 2001 - Auspice Inc.
Auspice Inc., a leading provider of real-time operations integration and automation products and solutions for the global enterprise, announced today its highly anticipated third major release Auspice TLX. Auspice TLX provides a rapid development platform and distributed execution infrastructure to automate complex business operations logic across the boundaries between the network and business operations. Through active, intelligent enforcement of operational decisions across internal and external applications, databases, devices, and networks, Auspice TLX represents a major paradigm shift for Internet-based service provider operations solutions.
"Release 3.0 represents a strong maturation of the Auspice TLX product, built upon the foundation of Release 2.0, as well as extending its enterprise reach", said Rick Berthold, CTO and Chief Software Architect at Auspice, Inc. "The added features enhance our customer's and partner's capability to rapidly develop and deploy highly-reliable integrated solutions, both fulfilling their needs today, while providing powerful capabilities anticipated for the near future".
One major enhancement for Release 3.0 is the incorporation of TCP/IP with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for remote Target Interface Server (TIS) communications. This provides the necessary secure interconnectivity, built into the TLX platform, required for multi-system integration not just inside the firewalls, but outside and between them. This fills an urgent need for enterprise operations integration and automation for e-commerce, the emerging out-sourced system's management service provider (MSP) applications, as well as the large distributed enterprises.
Extending the reach of the Auspice TLX platform, client/server components are incorporated into the base TLX product infrastructure to allow real-time text-based message delivery, direct from a real-time executing MetaScript, to any remote or local single text-based display or text-to-speech engine. This allows rapid integration of light-weight text message and response applications on handheld devices, simple LCD panels, or other notification systems into an integrated enterprise solution.
The final major enhancement for Release 3.0 is the addition of a powerful Target Interface Database (TIDB) Builder to the Auspice TLX MetaScript Development Environment. The TIDB Builder is a feature-rich GUI-based application to enable the rapid definition of target system interface 'mappings' (access protocol, network location, with named data schema and action abstractions used by an executing Metascript). This provides a well-organized, object oriented way of defining new systems interface definitions as well customizing the provided standard set. "More significantly, the TIDB Builder enables both importing and/or exporting standard mappings from/to third-parties.", said Mr. Berthold, "Thus enabling Auspice, as well as our strategic, OEM, and integrator partners to provide pre-built, yet highly flexible, out-of-the-box EAI extensions to devices, databases, and applications." "With the Auspice TLX Release 3.0, real-time execution of enterprise business logic begins on Day 1".
